Can a British expat get a UK mortgage from my country of residence?

We arrange UK mortgages for British expats in approximately 120 countries of residence, subject to lender panel and sanctions. Highest-volume markets: UAE, USA, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, EU. If your country is not on the standard list, message us and we will check the panel for you. We do not guarantee approval; every case runs through full underwriting.

What is the difference between your UK advice and your overseas introducer service?

UK mortgages arranged for British expats (buy-to-let, residential, remortgage, returning expat) are FCA-authorised advice. Compare The Mortgage Limited is an Appointed Representative of Connect IFA Limited (441505). FCA reference 966902. Overseas mortgages, secured on property outside the UK, are not regulated by the FCA. For those we introduce you to a specialist in-country partner broker who holds the local licensing.

Do you charge broker fees?

Standard UK expat cases carry no broker fee: we are paid commission by the lender at completion. Overseas introducer cases carry a partner-side referral commission which is disclosed to you before you decide to proceed. Complex UK cases (adverse credit, restricted country of residence, unusual income structure) may carry an advice fee; the amount is confirmed in writing before you decide.

How fast can you respond across time zones?

Same-day response Monday to Friday UK time on email and phone. WhatsApp is answered same day in any time zone. Straightforward UK expat cases reach Decision in Principle within two to five business days. Overseas introductions are made same day to the in-country partner; local timelines then apply.
